Smackdown Live this week may be kind of an exciting episode. Battleground is now finished and done with so its time for things to get set up for the up coming SummerSlam event. The biggest pay per view of the summer for the WWE is gonna be a stacked to the hilt card for sure. The blue brand, in my opinion, are trying to find their footing in what and how to make their matches for SummerSlam better then the red brands matches. It may be a bit hard when you consider the whole Lesnar following and Roman Reigns, the man everyone loves to hate, kind of being the top priority of the entire pay per view.
Don’t forget people SDLive has the one and only John Cena and on this weeks SDLive he will face Shinsuke Nakamura to find out who will become the number one contender and who will face WWE champion Jinder Mahal and SummerSlam. Cena and Nakamura have never faced each other one on one before so its gonna be fun to see just how their match will play out. Will we see Nakamura get his first ever main event title shot at his biggest pay per view yet, or will we see John Cena go for his 17th title reign, being the first in history to hold it that many times. Both of these scenarios are possible but there is an X factor, that being Baron Corbin, who may not be done with beating Nakamura. He may give the whole thing to Cena.
The other match pushed for this weeks episode is the rematch between the new United States champion AJ Styles and the previous champion Kevin Owens. Last week after the triple threat match, Owens, stated he wanted his rematch next week, being this week. I’m not sure if the title will be passed back again between these two but with Y2J Chris Jericho back in the picture now, Owens may have to watch his back. Then again Styles may have to too. This week is bound to be a pretty recent show and as always I’ll be bringing you my review afterwards.
