Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano finally get there one on one match with our tag champs The A.O.P. The only stipulation is that this match is gonna be a ladder match. That gives D.I.Y. an advantage since A.O.P. have probably not been in many ladder matches in their career (if any). All D.I.Y. have focused on as of late is getting back the NXT tag titles but with A.O.P. causing so much destruction in the ring even with this being a ladder match D.I.Y. probably will leave Takeover still wanting a shot for the titles which they will not win.

Much like Asuka, Authors Of Pain look unbeatable with their combination of physical size and Paul Ellering’s mind. DIY have been one of NXT’s biggest success stories in the last twelve months and they had multiple match of the year contenders last year. It’s hard to see the smaller duo defeating the monsters here but I expect Gargano and Ciampa to get a really solid match out of the champions here. I think DIY dominate, some kind of false finish where fans think their favourites have done the impossible only to see them defeated in the end.

In what will be a first for a NXT PPV, The Authors of Pain and #DIY will square off in a ladder match for the NXT tag titles. SInce arriving on the scene in June, Akam and Rezar* have bulldozed everyone in their path while #DIY has played the role of plucky underdogs, capturing the titles briefly before losing them to their Takeover opponents. Maybe the New Day will come out and announce the Hardy’s are now part of this match and they can recreate Wrestlemania X-Seven.
