The best professional wrestling in the United States returns once again to the American Legion Post #308 for another SOLD OUT show in Reseda, CA the home of PWG for “Head Like a Cole”. The scheduled match listing for this show is as follows:

Singles Match

Keith Lee vs Trevor Lee

-Keith Lee a staple of Evolve and other independents everywhere is taking on former Impact X Division Champion the “Carolina Caveman” Trevor Lee in what’s more than likely the opening contest. Keith Lee has been looking super good in Pro Wrestling Guerilla, in his first appearance for the company he took part in a fantastic triple threat match w/ Sammi Callihan and Brian Cage that was just tremendous, he followed that up w/ a match up w/ Mr. Athletic Jeff Cobb last month at “Game Over Man”. 2017 for Trevor Lee in PWG has seen him face Cody Rhodes in February and Lio Rush in March, Trevor has been a staple of PWG since 2014 and he’s been a consistent performer ever since his upset victory on the departing Kevin Steen at PWG 11.

Singles Match

“Unbreakable” Michael Elgin vs Shane Strickland

-These two have faced one another in other independent promotions this year, The King of Swerve Mr. Strickland must have impressed the PWG Board of Directors because after his PWG debut against the equally impressive Desmond Xavier he has been invited back, this time to face two time BOLA runner up Michael Elgin. If you didn’t know, 2017 has been Elgin’s year; he has been nothing short of phenomenal in almost every outing this calendar year, from the MOTY candidate w/ Matt Riddle at AAW, to the PWG rematch with former PWG Champion Kyle O’Reilly last month. This will be a fun contrast of styles match, and if you’re unfamiliar w/ “Big Mike” know that this big man can move and keep up with Strickland every step of the way.

Tag Team Match

Chosen Bros (Matt Riddle & Jeff Cobb) vs reDRagon (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish)

-Oh boy, what can I even say about this match….Riddle and Cobb have been on a roll in PWG even defeating The Young Bucks back in December cleanly in a non-title match, since then they took on and defeated The Unbreakable F**** Machines, and OI4K respectively and both matches were fantastic. Riddle and Cobb are my picks to take this year’s Battle of Los Angeles either or. reDRagon have held tag team gold everywhere they’ve competed but Pro Wrestling Guerilla, and if they decide to stay consistent w/ their appearances as a tag team for the promotion there is nothing that can hold them back from tag team gold there as well…..except perhaps The Chosen Bros.

Singles Match

Mark Haskins vs Lio Rush

-The CZW Champ “The Man of the Hour” Lio Rush made his PWG debut back in February and blew everyone away, really cementing his place as the future of wrestling, and Mark Haskins is in my opinion one of the best on the planet. His matches in Progress and his successful run to the semifinals at the 2016 BOLA shows that he should be a force in PWG for some time to come. Haskins missed his match w/ Michael Elgin last month due to an injury, and he’s making his first PWG show of 2017 with this one.

Singles Match

Sami Callihan vs “The Panama City Playboy” Adam Cole

-This is my boy’s last match with Pro Wrestling Guerilla which is why we have the “Head Like a Cole” title for the show. I’ve already documented how much of a mark I am for Adam Cole but let me run thru his PWG accomplishments: Cole won the 2012 BOLA defeating Michael Elgin in the finals, he then went on to challenge Mr. Wrestling Kevin Steen for the PWG Championship at the inaugural Mystery Vortex in a helluva match, he held the title I believe longer than anyone eventually dropping the belt to his former partner Kyle O’ Reilly. Since then he’s become a part of Mt. Rushmore w/ The Young Bucks, Kevin Steen, and later Roderick Strong. Adam has gone on record stating how important PWG has been for him, and his swan song should be something to remember. He and Sami have faced one another before in PWG when Cole was the defending champion and those matches were classics, so expect a fun match.

Pro Wrestling Guerilla Tag Team Championship

Rey Fenix & Penta El 0 M (c) vs The Young Bucks

-This is the first title defense for the Lucha Bros in PWG, Fenix has been doing singles matches quite a lot this year, facing Trent? and Lio Rush respectively. Pentagon hasn’t been seen in Reseda since he and his brother picked up the belts in a MOTY contender Triple Threat match w/ the Bucks and Ricochet and Matt Sydal. The Bucks, successfully defeated the IWGP Tag Team Champs War Machine last month in their PWG debut.

Pro Wrestling Guerilla World Championship Title Match

Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs Trent?

-This feud has been building since Zacky 3 Belts took on Chuck Taylor back in February turning heel in the process then the following month the LDRS 2000 team of ZSJ and “The Villain” Marty Scurll faced the Best Friends in a losing effort when Marty was defeated. Last month, the aforementioned Chuck Taylor defeated Marty in a Reseda Street Fight that just looked amazing. All this leads to the reckoning between Trent? and ZSJ, I don’t know if it’s conceivable that Greg will be the new PWG champ, but if he

can pull it off and hit ZSJ w/ the “Crunchy” the underdog may shine and Trent? will finally taste PWG gold, which has eluded he and his Best Friend for so long.

I’m really looking forward to this show, 2017 has been a banner year thus far for Pro Wrestling Guerilla and if you’ve missed any of the shows do yourself a favor and buy the DVD’s. It’s the best 20 bucks you can spend on Pro Wrestling anywhere in the world!!!!!
